Overview
This project is a narrative virtual exhibition space design based on the text study of Liu Zongyuan's "Record of a Little Stone Pond." The exhibition hall unfolds the cultural connotations and aesthetic essence of "Record of a Little Stone Pond" through four sections: "Strolling Through Quiet Bamboo," "Fish Shadows Drifting," "Seeking Streams and Sources," and "Parting Amidst Bamboo Sounds."

Building on content planning, spatial layout, and visitor flow design, and integrating various digital media technologies, the project creates an immersive experience space that combines traditional and modern aesthetics. This allows visitors to appreciate the traditional Chinese concept of "sublime tranquility" in the digital world and experience the unique rhythm and spirit of nature.
Inspiration
As modern technology increasingly penetrates human life, it also diminishes our perception of nature. This design project draws inspiration from Liu Zongyuan's "Record of a Little Stone Pond." By organizing, editing, and refining the text and then setting up a digital expression language, the project culminates in the creation of a virtual exhibition space that merges digital technology with traditional aesthetics. The aim is to prompt people to reflect on their era and the dimension of nature, and to reestablish a connection with the natural world.
Space Design
In the spatial design, imagery from the text—ponds, streams, and stones—is extracted to refine their forms and lines, creating a dynamic flow reminiscent of "winding water." This design interprets the organic beauty of nature, evoking a deep natural resonance within the viewers.
Space Design
The layout of the exhibition hall is based on the narrative sequence and spatial settings of "Record of a Little Stone Pond," divided into four main sections. Light cues on the floor guide visitors along the path, leading them step by step into this world apart from the mundane—"Bamboo Rhythms and Quiet Ponds." Here, amidst tranquility, visitors can experience the rhythm of nature.
